About A-Star India Youth Scholarship in Singapore, 2015

The ASTAR India Youth Scholarship is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced’ (GCE ‘A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate. The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar. Application period: 6 June 2014 (7.30am India Time) to 13 July 2014 (7.30pm India Time).
Selection test: Between "August end" and "early September", 2014
Selection interview: Between "end October" and "early November", 2014
Awards of Scholarship: Mid to late November, 2014
Candidates short-listed for the selection test/interview will be notified a week before the selection test/interview dates. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Test and interviews will be held in Delhi Selected students for A-STAR India youth scholarship 2015 will be notified by post and will be given a week's time to accept the scholarship.

Annual allowance of 2,200 Singapore dollars (for secondary) & 2,400 Singapore dollars (for pre-university) with hostel accommodation
One time settling allowance of 400 Singapore dollars
Return air fare (economy class)
School fees is covered (excluding miscellaneous fees)
One time coverage of GCE '0' level & ‘A’ Level examination fees
Subsidized medical benefits and accident insurance cover

Eligibility Criteria for A*Star India Youth Scholarship in Singapore, 2015

Gender & Age	Both . Born between 1998 and 2000
Region	Indian students
Classes	Students who have passed the 8th grade in 2014
Academic	Outstanding academic track record (at least an average of 80% / minimum ‘A’ with English as first language in the school examinations of Standard 7th & 8th)

SIA youth scholarship aspirants can only apply once and need to apply online using the ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM
Submit your application using the ONLINE APPLICATION FOR *ASTAR** YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP, 2015
Send certified copies of the following items directly to the Singapore Ministry of Education before 13 July 2014. (Mention the online application number on all documents)
Birth certificate
Identity card / passport
Final examination result slips for last 2 years i.e Class 7 as well as Class 8
