About Lore India foundation undergraduate scholarship

Scholarships worth Rs. 10.5 crore for 200 + students every year. The Lore India Foundation National Benchmarking and Scholarship Program is one of the country’s largest in terms of number of students and scholarships funds. Supported by Tata Consultancy Services and Axis Bank, the program aims to identify and recognize merit above all else. 

The Lore India Foundation scholarships are promoted by the top academicians in the country such as Prof. Seyed E. Hasnain, Professor IIT Delhi, Dr. Hari Gautam, former UGC Chairman, Dr. S.B. Siwach, Chairman PG Committee, Medical Council of India, Prof. Ranbir National Law University and many more eminent personalities. 

Learning aptitude test
  • The LAT is designed and administered to assess intelligence and aptitude for advanced learning at the undergraduate level.
  • The test is designed to preclude bias towards knowledge, domain, socio-economic background, geography, etc., to assess the candidate’s aptitude and mental ability. It is devised in a manner that equates students between the ages of 15 to 19 so that they can compete on a common and level playing field. Ideally, the applicant is not required to prepare for this test. However, to become acquainted with the type of questions and increase speed and accuracy, we recommend that you practice analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, reading comprehension and puzzles. 
  • Candidates have the choice to either take a computer-based test or a pencil/paper-based test.
  • The test is administered in two languages: English and Hindi. The candidate can choose her/his language at the time of registration.
  • The test is designed by Lore India and TCS and will be conducted at PAN India level by TCS.

Eligibility Criteria for the Lore India foundation undergraduate scholarship

Gender & Age  Both 
Region Must be a citizen or permanent resident of India
Classes 
  • Should be enrolled in Classes X, XI or XII at the time of applying.
  • Should be planning to pursue an undergraduate program from a recognized and accredited Indian or foreign university in any discipline.

 

 

 

 

Awards for Lore India foundation undergraduate scholarship 

  • 1st Rank: Rs 50 Lacs
  • 2nd Rank: Rs 30 Lacs
  • 3rd Rank: Rs 20 Lacs
  • 4th - 53rd Rank: Rs 5 Lacs each
  • 54th - 103rd Rank: Rs 3 Lacs each 
The Scholarships
  • Are merit based and not need based
  • Can be used for undergraduate education in any discipline.
  • Can be used for preparation of any entrance exam required to get admission to the program of the applicant’s choice.
  • Shall be paid directly to the educational institution.
  • Will be in the form of an interest generating trust fund available for the selected scholar to draw upon for a period of 7 years from the date of the award.
  • In order to maximize the effect of the mentorship program, the selected scholars will undergo a comprehensive interest schedule/psychometric analysis for insights that will help them to effectively guide the student.

Application & Exam process for  the Lore India foundation undergraduate scholarship

  •  The application fee for this program is Rs. 1,850/-  
  •  Applicants have the option to pay the fee via two methods:
      • Online: The applicant can pay the fee online with either a credit or debit card while completing the registration for the test; or
      • Cash: The applicant can pay the fee in cash into any branch of AXIS BANK across the country. For more information on cash payments, please see the FAQ section.
  • The applicants will be shortlisted through the Learning Aptitude Test (LAT) and awarded the scholarship in accordance with their rank in the test. If it is not possible to rank the applicants on the basis of their score in the LAT, there will be a second round of examination, the format of which will be decided by the Governing Council of the Lore India Foundation Scholarship Program.
